Roof Installation in Charleston, SC
A new roof is one of the most important systems on your property, and getting it right from day one matters most in a coastal climate. On Scene Roofing and Restoration installs new roofs for construction projects, home additions, and post-loss rebuilds across Charleston, from West Ashley to Mount Pleasant. Our veteran- and firefighter-owned crew installs asphalt, metal, and flat roofing systems built to stand up to Lowcountry wind and weather.
Roof Installation
From new builds to additions to full rebuilds, we install roofing systems that last.
We provide high-quality roofing materials and professional installation to protect your home from the elements.
Installing a roof on a new structure is different from swapping out an old one. It calls for close coordination with your builder or project timeline, careful attention to Charleston's coastal wind requirements, and the right roofing system for the design and budget. We install new roofs for residential and commercial construction, home additions, detached garages and outbuildings, and rebuilds after a fire or storm total loss. From helping you choose the right material to the final inspection, we handle the roofing scope so it's done correctly the first time and performs through every hurricane season. If you're replacing a worn-out roof on an existing home, that's a slightly different project, and we cover it on our roof replacement page.
Our Process
How We Handle Your New Roof Installation
A coordinated, code-conscious process from material choice to final cleanup.
Consultation and Material Selection
We start by understanding the project, whether it's a new build, an addition, or a rebuild, and the look and performance you want. We help you choose from asphalt shingle, metal, and flat roofing systems suited to your design, budget, and the wind demands of coastal South Carolina. You'll get clear guidance on the tradeoffs, not a one-size-fits-all pitch.
Planning and Preparation
We coordinate with your builder or timeline so the roofing scope fits the overall project, and we make sure the installation meets Charleston-area wind and building code requirements. Proper preparation of the deck and underlayment is where a long-lasting roof is really made. We plan the work to keep your project on schedule.
Professional Installation
Our technicians install the new roofing system to strict manufacturer specifications, including proper underlayment, sealed decking, and flashing detailed for a watertight result. Correct installation is what protects your warranty and your building through Lowcountry storms. We hold the same standard on every structure, from a detached garage to a full commercial roof.
The Standard for Charleston Roof Installation
We inspect the finished roof to confirm every detail meets spec before we consider the job done. Then we clean the entire site and run a magnetic sweep of the surrounding area to collect stray nails and debris. You're left with a properly installed roof and a clean property ready for the next phase.

Why Choose On Scene Roofing & Restoration for Roof Installation
Full Range of Roofing Systems
We install asphalt shingle, metal, and flat roofing, so we can match the right system to your building rather than pushing whatever we happen to stock. You get a roof suited to your design and budget.
Built for Coastal Codes
Charleston's wind requirements are strict for good reason. We install to meet local wind-uplift and building code standards, with sealed decking and properly detailed flashing that hold up in a storm.
Local Roofing Contractors
We're a locally owned Charleston business based on Savannah Highway in West Ashley. We understand the wind, humidity, and salt air that a new coastal roof has to withstand for decades.

Our restoration background means we're comfortable coordinating roofing on rebuilds and new construction, working alongside your timeline and other trades to keep the project moving.
Professional Accountability
Our fire-service and military backgrounds drive our work ethic. We show up on time, install to spec, keep a clean job site, and stand behind the work.
